NC State Fair Demonstration Garden

This is what it's all about.  Our FFA and FFA Alumni members look forward to this every year.  The students get some bragging rights after all of their hard work.

In 2019, we rocked the competition with this amazing "Wicked Garden." The students planted over 90 different wicked plants (those that cause human or animal demise). Some of the plants caused plant lesions while others were poisonous enough that just the taste of a leaf would be lethal. It was so crowd pleasing that we not only got first place in the division but also was awarded best youth garden overall. The project was led by senior Madison Dwyer, who is pictured.

Unfortunately, we will have to see what 2021 holds... the NC State Fair is cancelled for 2020. UPDATE: We will not be competing with a State Fair garden in 2021 either. Stay tuned for 2022.
