What is FFA?

Picture
FFA is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. It is one of the three components of agricultural education. FFA helps the next generation rise up to meet industry challenges by helping its members to develop their own unique talents and explore their interests in a broad range of agricultural career pathways.

FFA Emblem Explained

Ear of Corn
  • Unity- Corn is the one crop that is grown in every state of the United States. The Corn serves as the base of the FFA emblem because it was used to unify our country.
Eagle
  • Freedom- The eagle represents freedom. On the jacket it has the ability to remind our members of their freedom and their future.
Rising Sun
  • Progress- As the sun continues to rise we continue to progress to new agricultural technologies and opportunities for members and farmers.
Owl
  • Wisdom- The owl means wisdom. It reminds us of the knowledge we gain in the blue jacket and in our agricultural endeavors.
Plow
  • Labor- Agriculture is the backbone of our country just as it is the FFA's. The labor agriculturists have put into our country to serve the people is why this is such a monumental symbol to our emblem.
Agricultural Education/FFA
  • Learning & Leadership- In our organization learning through hands on activities and premier leadership are ideal teachings.

FFA Mission Statement

The National FFA Organization is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

FFA Motto
